Written Acts of Kindness Badge

We found this wonderful award on the website of Cate Russell-Cole. She says, "Success never comes solely from your own efforts. There are always others along the way who give you a hand up; encourage you; or give you that resource, or piece of advice you never could have done without. When someone inspires you, or if you see someone who is using their writing gift to help others, please take the time to thank them publicly by giving them this award..."

With these sentiments in mind, we’d like to introduce Rebecca Scarberry, an author many of you already know as @Scarberryfields on Twitter, and one of the kindest, most supportive people you will ever have the pleasure of knowing.

What did Becky do to receive this award? Her acts of writing kindness are too numerous to mention individually, so we’ll focus on the bigger picture. Becky gives generously of her time to promote fellow authors, getting the message out about their projects, and encouraging them past writer’s blocks and other travails. She supports her peers in other ways, too. She reads their books, posts reviews, and conducts interviews. She also does guest spots on other authors’ blogs.

She is tireless in her support of the writing craft and fellow indie authors. For this, and because she is simply a genuinely warm and caring person, she is appreciated and adored by many, including us.

With all this dedication to others, somehow Becky also finds time to produce fantastic fiction pieces of her own. Please take time to check out her blog: http://scarberryfieldsforever.blogspot.com/2012/11/hello_21.htmlhttp://scarberryfieldsforever.blogspot.com/2012/11/hello_21.html
